ABSTRACT

This Letter to the Editor critically evaluates the non-CGM-related clinical indicators of glycemic variability (%CV ≥36%) in type 2 diabetes patients reported by Chandran et al., given the low utilization rate of continuous glucose monitoring (CGM) systems. It points out several inconsistencies in definitions and numerical values (including the coefficient of variation calculation formula, summary metrics, confidence intervals, and chart interpretation). Furthermore, clarifying the model specifications and reporting methods would improve the reproducibility of the study and facilitate its application in developing CGM-prioritized treatment strategies.
